What we collect through this website
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us, such as your phone number, organisation, journey details and your message. We ask you not to include children's names or health information in website enquiries.
If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site, such as pages visited and the type of device. See our cookies page.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We don't send marketing emails unless you've asked for them, and we never sell your information.
Children's travel information
When we transport a child, the council or school that arranges the journey usually shares information with us, such as the child's name, address, emergency contacts and the parts of their travel plan or pupil passport we need to keep them safe. Where this includes health information, we process it to meet our obligations under the contract and to protect the child, under the conditions for health and social care and safeguarding in the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. The council or school's own privacy notice also applies.
Who we share it with
We use these service providers to run the website and our business. They process information only on our instructions.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website
- Supabase, which stores website enquiries
- Resend, which sends our automatic emails
- Google, for website analytics, only if you allow it
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that don't lead to work for 24 months, then delete them. We keep records about contracts and journeys for as long as the contract requires and up to 7 years afterwards for legal and tax purposes, and safeguarding records for as long as the law and statutory guidance require.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email mahad@sentineltransport.co.uk. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
